NETRA Traffic AI Pilot
Traffic-violation and public-safety analytics for many cameras, built for Nepal Traffic Police.
What it does
NETRA watches many traffic cameras from one GPU server. Each camera is given a job, and every detector and rule can be switched on or off. It catches 13 kinds of traffic violation and 12 public-safety events, reads number plates, and gives shift staff a browser console to review evidence. Evidence cannot be deleted from the console, and every view and decision is written to an audit log.
- 13 traffic rules including red light, wrong way, lane discipline, illegal overtaking, no helmet and speeding
- 12 public-safety rules including fighting, snatch and flee, crowd surge, person down and abandoned objects
- Number-plate reading, with evidence clips and the reason for each alert
- Operator console for live monitoring, evidence review, rule switches and calibration
Proposed for a pilot. The demonstration footage is stock video from outside Nepal, so accuracy on Nepali roads will be measured during the pilot. Devanagari plate reading is not finished, helmet detection is not yet reliable enough to issue fines, and the system has not been soak-tested.
